Focused on a door-to-door listening project in neighborhoods including: Belmont, Clinton, Everett, Hartley, Near South and University Place.

- El Centro provides services in education, family support, strengthening of youth, health, domestic violence, and general support for clients. El Centro coordinates numerous community programs and has opportunities in helping promote health education, working with 'at-risk' youth, and teaching English.

- Lincoln Literacy is a multi-award-winning charitable provider of English language and literacy services to assist people of all cultures and strengthen our community. Established in 1972 when large numbers of refugees began to be resettled in Lincoln, it now serves more than a thousand people annually through one-to-one tutoring and a wide array of classes held at locations all over the city.

Lutheran Family Services of Nebraska

South of Downtown Community Development Organization
- SDCDO’s mission is to preserve the rich history and diversity of the Near South and Everett neighborhoods by creating opportunities for residents to improve their communities and promoting cross sector collaboration and resident engagement. Graduate Internships
University of Nebraska State Museum Collection Management Internship
- The Anthropology Division of the University of Nebraska State Museum curates worldwide ethnological and archaeological collections. The internship program is designed to foster the intellectual growth of students through training and hands-on experience. A limited number of internships will be offered to graduate students in our Museum Studies program yearly.
Global Studies
Global studies majors can gain valuable career experiences due to relationships we have with these organizations/institutions.
Senshu University Matsudo Junior High School needs two (2) English-speaking interns every fall and spring for their intensive English courses. Conscientious, creative, and self-motivated interns are expected to present their own culture to the students and actively assist teaching staff. No Japanese language ability is needed to apply.
Programs In English as a Second Language will provide you with extensive opportunities to interact and work with individuals who come to us from all over the world. Interns work with instructors in creating English practice and campus involvement opportunities for our students.
